Q: Please remove the products Method from your shelves.  They are toxic and do not disclose it in their label or website.

A: Thank you for your input! I have checked into these products and they all fit in with our current set of banned ingredients.  If there are products that you feel are not safe or healthy, we highly recommend that you shop other products, which allows us to see that our customers are no longer purchasing these products.  Currently, many of our customers want to buy the Method products. -Olivia, Grocery Buyer

Q: Can you get organic TVP? The non-organic "may have", probably does, GMOs.
A: Thank you for your input! Currently, Bob's Red Mill only makes their traditional TVP and do not have an organic version (or at least our distributor only carries the non-organic).  However, our bulk department does carry non-GMO TVP for sale. -Olivia, Grocery Buyer

Q: I live alone and can't use up anything in a large container before it turns bad.  There used to be a small glass bottle of sunflower oil.  Could you get it again or another brand in 8 oz or 16 oz bottles?

A: Thank you for your input! We do currently carry La Tourangelle sunflower oil in the 16 oz glass bottle.  Unfortunately the company we sourced the 16 oz glass bottle from Full Sun went out of business.  I will look into bringing in a new option from spectrum. -Olivia, Grocery Buyer

Q: I am not appreciating the new wine set-up.  I cant reach the top shelf and therefore have to track down someone to get a bottle for me.  If I'm wanting to look at and read bottles on top shelf it could literally take 1/2 hours.  Plus I think you'll find that removed from cheese shelf, it may cut down on wine sales.  Also it is not at all attractive.

A: Thanks for reaching out. Yes, we are not done with the reset yet.  Shelves will be lowered and easier to reach.  Wine sale will do great over there.  We are able to stock more product to the shelves, allowing for less racks and better sales. -Pat, Beverage Bu

Q: I'd like to see us carry the book "Medical Medium" by Anthony William.  This health information is life changing and so spot on accurate! Answered my health questions I've had for years and years! He's helping so many.

A: Thanks for the suggestion.  We will bring this in with our next book order. -Laura, Wellness Manager

Q: The raw hulled hempseeds are more expensive in bulk than in packaged form and when I brought it to the attention of the coop, the packaged version price went up.  It doesn't make sense for the bulk price to be higher, but please don't raise the price of the packaged ones now that it has been brought to your attention!

A: Thank you for your concern regarding new hemp prices.  Nutiva's organic shelled hempseeds are available in bulk for $17.49 per pound.  Nutiva's packaged organic shelled hempseeds cost $14.99 for a 12 ounce bag which is $18.45 per pound (more expensive than bulk).  The second packaged option is Manitoba's Hemp Hearts.  This non-organic option is less expensive than the two organic options.  This product sells for $8.49 for an 8 ounce bag which is $16.99 per pound.  Please let me know if you would like to discuss this in greater detail. -Laura, Wellness Manager

Q: I can't believe that Co-op members have nothing better to do than complain about the video screens with useful info for members.
A: The co-op is a place where everyone has a voice to express complaints, suggestions, and appreciations.  I am glad you find the information useful. Cheers. -Kari, General Manager

Q: Have been patiently waiting for you to move the TV blocking the window out to the parking lot.  Hoping this happens soon.  hard to see what is happening in the outside...buses, etc.

A: Thanks for your patience.  We can now turn attention to this project and the next step is to paint the wall before we mount the monitor.  Hopefully not too much longer. -Kari, General Manager

Q: We went to the Putney co-op and they had little shopping carts for kids.  My son loved it and he was helpful! Maybe we could get a few? If nothing else, maybe some small hand baskets that are a good size for kids? It would be great to get him more involved in the process.

A: Thank you for the suggestion.  We used to have junior-sized carts but found them to be a hazard since they were out of most customer's sight lines.  I will have us look into basket options. -Kari, General Manager

Q: Thank you for holding the line against piped in music. Silence is rare.  Let's preserve it.
A: You are welcome.  I certainly understand why some folks want music.  In my experience it's not a net benefit. -Kari, General Manager

Q: We love the new produce set-up!

A: So glad to hear that.  We have now replaced all of the original refrigeration equipment. -Kari, General Manager

Q: Disposable straws and utensils are the worst! Your straws are made from plants and compostable?! Cool! But is that plastic-ware? I do not approve...let's eradicate disposable culture!

A: We agree, but folks still like to have them for their lunch.  The Green Team is looking into better alternative, possibly a more affordable reusable option (sporks?).  Thanks for caring! -Emma, Customer Service Rep

Q: The soap dispensers and paper towels are too high up in the customer bathrooms.  They are not accessible for people in wheel chairs.

A: Thank you for bringing that to our attention.  We are working to address that right away. -Mary, Facilities Manager
