Refreshing Summer Sangrias
Try these sangria recipes for a refreshing twist on hot summer days!
Jalapeño Watermelon Agua Fresca
Ingredients
Jalapeño Simple Syrup
1 cup water
½ cup organic raw sugar
1–2 jalapeños, halved lengthwise
Jalapeño Watermelon Agua Fresco
4 cups cubed seedless watermelon
1 cup coconut water
¼ – ½ cup jalapeño simple syrup
ice
lime & mint for garnish
Method
Jalapeño Simple Syrup
Combine sugar and water in a small saucepan and heat to a simmer,
stirring or swirling until sugar is dissolved. Add halved jalapeños and
simmer, covered, for an additional 5 mins. Remove from heat and allow
jalapeños to steep in syrup until cooled, about 10 mins. Remove peppers
before using syrup (and put them to use in your favorite salsa recipe!)
Jalapeño Watermelon Agua Fresco
Add watermelon, coconut water and simple syrup (start with ¼ cup)
to a blender and process until very smooth and frothy, about 30 seconds.
Taste for spice and add more syrup, if necessary. Serve immediately
over ice with lime & mint. Or, cover and chill for up to a day,
stirring before serving.

French 75 Mocktail
Ingredients
2 cups ice
3 oz fresh lemon juice
4 dashes Urban Moonshine (or preferred) citrus bitters
6–8 oz Fever Tree (or preferred) tonic water
2 rock candy swizzle sticks
Method
Add fresh lemon juice and bitters to a cocktail shaker filled
with ice. Shake until frosty, and then divide into two champagne flutes
or coupe glasses. Top off with tonic water until it reaches about ¾ of
the way up the glass. Garnish with the swizzle sticks and serve
immediately. (Can’t find rock candy? Add one teaspoon superfine sugar to
the shaker)

Ginger Lime Fizz
Ingredients
12 oz ginger beer
4 oz seltzer water
½ to 1oz fresh squeezed lime juice
Sliced limes, for garnish
Method
Combine ingredients in a pitcher. Taste and adjust lime juice as needed. Serve cold.

Sparkling Berry Kombucha Spritzer
Ingredients
12 oz Sparkling Water
16 oz kombucha
½ Cup frozen berries
Method
Pour 6 oz of sparkling water into a 12 oz glass. Top off the
glass with kombucha, leaving approximately one-inch of space at the top.
Add ¼ cup of frozen berries as a flavorful and colorful replacement for ice.

Kombucha Fizz Mocktail
Ingredients
12 oz Sparkling Water
6 oz kombucha
2 tsp lime juice
5 mint leaves
Method
Muddle lime and mint together and strain through a fine mesh
sieve. Just before serving, add kombucha and top with sparkling water.
Distribute between two glasses and dress with a mint leaf.

Non-Alcoholic Sangria
Ingredients
2 cups boiling water
2 black tea bags (decaf tea is fine)
2 cinnamon sticks
½ cup sugar
3 cups pomegranate juice
1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
1 medium orange, sliced into thin rounds
1 medium lemon, sliced into thin rounds
1 medium lime, sliced into thin rounds
1 medium apple, cut into ½ inch chunks
3 cups seltzer water
Method
Pour the boiling water over tea bags and cinnamon sticks and
steep for 5 minutes. Discard tea bags and stir in sugar to dissolve. In a
large jar or pitcher, combine tea, cinnamon sticks, pomegranate juice,
orange juice, orange, lemon, lime, and apple. Refrigerate for at least
one hour and preferably overnight. Just before serving, stir in
carbonated water. Serve in glasses over ice.

Red Sangria
Ingredients
½ cup orange juice
1 cup apple juice
1 cup red wine
Orange and strawberry slices
1 cinnamon stick and a sprig of mint
Method
Combine orange juice, apple juice, red wine, orange and
strawberry slices. Stir with a cinnamon stick and garnish with mint
sprigs. Serve cold.

Sparkling Sangria
Ingredients
½ cup orange juice
½ cup lemonade, preferably all fruit
Halved orange slices
Halved lemon slices
1 cup Prosecco, cava or champagne
Bing cherries, for garnish
Method
Combine orange juice, lemonade, orange and lemon slices and
stir. Pour in cava just before serving. For garnish, use a long
toothpick to skewer a cherry and place it on top of each glass.

Strawberry Lemonade Sun Tea
Ingredients
24 oz mason jar with lid
24 oz Filtered Water
2 tsp preferred sweetener
3 teabags
1 sliced lemon
5–6 large strawberries, stemmed & halved
A Sunny Day
Ice
Method
Combine water and sweetener in the mason jar. Add lemon, strawberries
and tea bags. Seal the jar and place in direct sunlight for 1–2 hours. Serve over ice, or let the ingredients infuse in your refrigerator overnight to enjoy even more flavor the next day!
