Co-op Answer: Thank you for your input! I will reach out to this brand in January when we begin bringing in new products again.  -Olivia, Grocery Buyer

Q: I wrote a suggestion about getting some new Kevita flavors.  You said I should suggest a flavor to replace.  I suggest replacing strawberry acai coconut?
A: Thank you for the follow up! We brought in the elderberry and the tumeric-ginger this week.  I will consider hibiscus berry as will (it sounds delicious). Thank you for giving us the opportunity to try new things.  -Olivia, Grocery Buyer

Q: Vanilla paste – for people who shouldn’t have alcohol.
A: Thank you for your input!  I will look into finding a vanilla paste.  We do carry a non-alcoholic vanilla extract as well. -Olivia, Grocery Buyer

Q: I asked a few times about Greek Go’s Yogurt’s black cherry flavor.  Available thru the Hanover Coop.  Can you get it?
A: Thank you for your input! We currently carry the four top sellers and do not have room for another flavor.  If black cherry moves up in the rankings, we will consider adding it in. -Olivia, Grocery Buyer

Q: Oh, please bring back Earth Balance sticks – at least for holiday baking.
A: Thank you for your input! This product was the slowest seller in the line and was discontinued to make room for better selling items.  I feel that bringing them back for two months will only be confusing or frustrating for customer when it goes away again. -Olivia, Grocery Buyer

Q: Please bring back Newman’s organic olive oil!
A: Thank you for your input! We recently discontinued this item due to slow sales in the category.  You may special order this product by the case and receive a discount. -Olivia, Grocery Buyer

Q: Last week you had these amazing organic eggs.  “Black” something…we’d love to see them on the shelves again. Thanks!
A: Thank you for your input! Black Dirt Farm is a wonderful egg produce! We have them on our shelves pretty consistently in the Spring and Summer, but during the colder months we see less of their product.  They send us as much as they can.  They are here every Monday. -Olivia, Grocery Buyer

Q: Please bring back Mrs. Tate’s ginger gluten free cookies!
A: Thank you for your input! This is not an item we regularly carry, just something we had in a display.  While we don’t currently have plans to make it a regular item, we often have it on sale on display. -Olivia, Grocery Buyer

A: Thank you for your input! I will pass along your compliments to our Assistant Grocery Manager Doni and Wellness Manager Laura who worked on that project.  -Olivia, Grocery Buyer

Q: Red-checked deli paper transferred red checks to my deli-made burrito.  Eeew.
A: Good to know – thank you for your info – we will address this. -Doug, Prepared Foods Manager

Q: Thanks for bringing back Co-op made soups in the hot bar.  They taste better.
A: Glad you enjoy them, we make them as time and product allows. -Doug, Prepared Foods Manager

Q: To be more vegan friendly you should not charge an extra dollar for vegan pesto or avocado when one does not get cheese on their sandwich.  After all getting extra cheese costs the same amount.
A: The cost of pesto and avocado is significantly more than that of cheese, thus the charge for it. -Doug, Prepared Foods Manager

Q: Do you still sell chick pea saag? If so, thank you.
A: We do on our curry menu which is in a bi-weekly rotation. -Doug, Prepared Foods Manager

Q: Would like to see savory breakfast options like scallion cheese scones.
A: We do offer these regularly but change it up as there are a lot of different tastes! -Doug, Prepared Foods Manager

Q: Glad to see HM Mountaineer Cookies back in the deli.  Had missed them.  It’s a healthy option.
A: I think there are a lot of happy people about this.  Thanks for your comments. -Doug, Prepared Foods Manager

Q:  I would love more info about the cheese selection.  We try to eat only organic dairy and understand that organic labeling is expensive for some local/small producers.  Yet, I’m sure many are organic!
A: Lazy Lady was certified organic but not anymore, still practices organic.  Check the following and websites for more – Vermont Shepard, Shelburne Farms, Twig Farm, Jasper Hill Farm, Cobb Hill Cheese, Sage Farm Goat Dairy.  -Bibi, Cheese Buyer

Q: I was having a hard day but staff Halloween spirit helped 🙂 Hair band Patrick!
A: Very cool.  Patrick’s costume was inspired, glad it helped.  -Kari, General Manager

Q: Some years ago, you had a “reference library” of the good ol’ veggie cookbooks to refer to when shopping.  How about doing it again. Thanks.
A: Good memory.  It’s been awhile since we had that service. I think interest probably dwindled with prevalence of smart phones.  I will ask around and see if there is general interest in new books.  -Kari, General Manager

Q: Get rid of parking for those with kids – no need! Kids are a choice, old age isn’t. You should not get parking based on your choices in life – what’s next?
A: The primary reason for allocating space to families with small children is safety to my mind.  It’s a busy parking lot and we want to keep the kids close to the building and crosswalks.  -Kari, General Manager

Q: Suggestion – give an incentive for people to bring their own produce/bulk item bags and containers.
A: Interesting idea.  We feel as though there is already incentive in doing something good for the environment by bringing reusable bags / containers.  We do, however, donate $.05/ to the Food Pantry when a reusable shopping bag is used.  Also, please check out the new bio bags in bulk, we are pretty excited to try out this plastic alternative! -The Green Team

Q: Take down dead trees over parking lot before someone gets hurt! I told you about it 6 months ago!
A: We are working on it.  We first have to determine which VT Agency has jurisdiction over them before taking the step of removing them.  Thanks for your suggestion. -Mary, Facilities Manager

Q: It would be a great thing to get a stool in the second bathroom so little ones can wash their hands. Thank you. A: I am sure we can make that happen, thank you for the suggestion. -Mary, Facilities Manager

Q: Please clean out overhead lights by checkout counters.  A: Got it on the “to do” list, thanks for letting us know. -Mary, Facilities Manager
