Feed A Family This Holiday Season
In Vermont, one in four of us struggles with hunger.
This holiday season, Hunger Mountain Co-op, Rabble Rouser, LOCAL 22/LOCAL 44, and WDEV are coming together to help the Vermont Foodbank provide meals for our neighbors through the 3rd annual Feed A Family Food & Fund Drive.
Starting December 4, stock your shelves and help fight hunger in our community with special Buy One, Give One deals on pantry staples, including Annie’s mac & cheese, Muir Glen canned tomatoes, Cascadian Farm cereals, and Once Again peanut butter. All non-perishable food and personal care item donations are welcome and can be dropped off at the Co-op’s exit through December 12. Other high need items include dish soap, sponges, paper towels, toilet paper, and toiletries.

On Thursday, Dec. 12, the final day of the drive, LOCAL 22, LOCAL 44, and WDEV will gather at the Co-op to collect both food and funds. Shoppers can donate to the Vermont Foodbank by rounding up to the nearest dollar, or by adding a donation of any amount at the register. Hunger Mountain Co-op will match up to $1,000 in financial contributions that day.
All of the food and funds collected will directly benefit the Vermont Foodbank and central Vermont food shelves. Last year’s drive set a record with $9,338.12 and 1,072 pounds of food collected for the Foodbank. Since 2017, this event has raised an impressive $14,498.12 – equaling 24,163 meals for our neighbors in need.
Please join us in this vital effort again this year!
