We’re excited to announce a new way for Hunger Mountain Co-op members to connect with each other and our co-op community!
Member Letter Program
We have launched a Member Letter Program. This initiative aims to create an online space where member-owners can share ideas and information to further the Co-op’s mission of creating and sustaining a vibrant community of healthy individuals, sustainable local food systems, and thriving cooperative commerce.
In a similar format to a “Letter to the Editor” program, member letters will be compiled and posted on the Co-op’s website every two weeks. We will also highlight members’ letters in our biweekly eNews, of which nearly 80% of our 10,000 member-owners are subscribers. Not on our mailing list? Sign up here.
Writing Your Letter
Member letter topics should be relevant to the broader Co-op community. Be sure to include your name and contact information. If you respond to a previous letter, please note the date and name of the person you are referencing.
Member letters are voices from our community and do not directly represent Hunger Mountain Co-op. We will not publish factually inaccurate, mean-spirited, or tangential submissions. The content of letters should not make anyone feel unwelcome based on race, color, ancestry, religion/belief, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, military status, disability, or any other categories protected by federal/state law. Letters must be free of partisan politics, specific religions, and the self-promotion of a business, product, or service.
Sending Your Letter
Submit your letter by emailing info@hungermountain.coop. If email is not an option, mail your letter to: Hunger Mountain Co-op, c/o Rowan Sherwood, 623 Stonecutters Way, Montpelier, VT 05602.
We look forward to hearing from you!

Earlier this year, we relaunched our Comments & Suggestions board, located on the corkboard in the exit way above the water-filling station.
