Community Harvest of Central Vermont (CHCV) is a group of Central Vermonters who are committed to bringing our community together through gleaning to recover surplus food produced on area farms to feed those with limited access to healthy, fresh local food, and in the process help the community to gain a greater awareness and appreciation of the local food system, healthy eating, and waste reduction.
Allison Levin, Director of CHCV, takes you through the lens of gleaning to explore your relationship with food. This presentation will focus on gleaning in our area and will be followed by an open discussion of using/eating imperfect food, reducing wasted food, and knowing local farms better, among other topics.
Space is limited and registration in advance is suggested. To attend this free workshop, sign up on the bulletin board in our exit way, call us at 802-262-3202 or use this online form.
