Jon Steinman Book Tour: Grocery Story: The promise of food co-ops in the age of grocery giants

Presented by Jon Steinman and New Society Publishers

Jon Steinman will be making a stop at our Co-op as part of the book tour for Grocery Story: The promise of food co-ops in the age of grocery giants, published by New Society Publishers. Through penetrating analysis and inspiring stories and examples of American and Canadian food co-ops, Grocery Story makes a compelling case for the transformation of the grocery store aisles as the emerging frontier in the local and good food movements.

Please join us for an informational session led by current council members and general manager Kari Bradley. These informal educational opportunities provide a chance to learn about how the council operates, how they represent our member-owners, and what it means to serve your Co-op by becoming a member of the council. If you are considering running in Council elections this fall, we highly recommend attending one of these sessions. Held in our upstairs community room, with access to an elevator upon request.
