Hunger Mountain Co-op Community Room

Address: 623 Stone Cutters Way

Please join us for a discussion of your Co-op’s bylaws and potential changes that are currently being considered. These forums are open to all and will be held in our upstairs community room, with elevator access available upon request.

The forums will take place on:

Tuesday, June 4 from 6-7pm

Saturday, June 8 from Noon-1pm

Wednesday, June 12 from Noon-1pm

Light refreshments will be served. We will also make it possible to participate in the meeting without attending in person, using online meeting software. Look for more details on that in future announcements, or email us here.

The Co-op’s bylaws have not been updated in many years. A committee made up of council members and member-owners has been working on possible bylaw changes since last summer. In the forums, they will share their work, listen to your feedback, and answer any questions you might have. To review the work the committee has done so far, you can read the notes from all of their meetings here.

We will also post the draft bylaw revisions soon.

If you have any questions about these public discussions, please contact us at info@hungermountain.coop or 802-262-3202. Pre-registration is not required.

Thank you, and we hope to see you on one of the dates above.

Please join us for an informational session led by current council members and general manager Kari Bradley. These informal educational opportunities provide a chance to learn about how the council operates, how they represent our member-owners, and what it means to serve your Co-op by becoming a member of the council. If you are considering running in Council elections this fall, we highly recommend attending one of these sessions. Held in our upstairs community room, with access to an elevator upon request. The fun will include 30-minute performances by Rockin’ Ron the Friendly Pirate at 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, and 1:30, a solar-powered bouncy house courtesy of SunCommon, and amazing face painting by Face Mania. Kellogg-Hubbard Library, Good Beginnings of Central Vermont, and our co-op’s Green team will be hosting hands-on activities for kids of all ages. This is a free event, and all are welcome.

Our Give Change recipient for the month, Central Vermont Humane Society, will be here as well, providing information about their many essential efforts. We will be matching all Give Change register round-up donations made to the humane society that day, so your spare change will have double the impact.
