School is out and the summer is in full swing! Through the long winter, have you felt restless, as well as overwhelmed with stress? And even though you would love to roll into the “lazy days of summer,” are you finding the calendar full of activities?

With Amy Panetta, MA, NC, Nutrition and Weight Loss Consultant, you will take a much-needed time-out and get inspired to take up some new self-care activities that will help you detox from stress, rebalance ourselves, and even help you shed excess weight! You will learn the biochemistry of stress on the body, how it can impact weight gain, and you will leave with a number of strategies you can use right away in your daily life! Through using these techniques consistently, you can feel well rested and begin autumn activities with a better sense of inner calm!

Minimum requirement of 4 people

    A brief history of Israel-Palestine with a focus on the crisis facing Palestinian farmers posed by the Israeli military, government, settlements, land and water policies, and the Separation Wall. We will close with recommendations and discussion of what Vermonters can do to support Palestinian farmers.

    Mark Hage has been active in anti-occupation movements since the 1980s.

    Wafic Faour is a Palestinian refugee with family in Israel and Lebanon.

    Adam Elie is an Israeli citizen now living and farming in Vermont. He will talk about his life as an Israeli settler and soldier.

    All presenters are Vermont residents and activists with knowledge of and, in some cases direct experience with life in Palestine and Israel. All are students of the geo-political forces and historical events responsible for the crisis in the region. They are affiliated with Vermonters for Justice in Palestine (vtjp.org), an organization founded in 2001 which organizes workshops, talks, film series, rallies, art exhibitions and public access television programs on Palestine/Israel.
