End-of-Life Care for Pets Workshop
https://hungermountain.coop/event/end-of-life-for-pets/Hunger Mountain Co-op Community Room623 Stone Cutters Waywith Erika S. Bruner, DVM, CVA
Whether managing the challenges of old age, or facing a terminal diagnosis, the end of our pets’ lives can be a difficult time for many of us. We want only the best for them; but what does that mean? How do we decide among our options for diagnosis and medical care? How can we best help them to be comfortable? Since we can’t talk to them, how do we assess their quality of life? And if we reach the point of choosing to end their lives, how and when should we make that decision?
Dr Erika Bruner, a local veterinarian since 2002, now focuses her practice only on veterinary acupuncture and end-of-life care. She has worked with many clients to help them find their ways through these and other questions. Come to this workshop to share stories, explore your thoughts, ask questions, and hear practical information on caring for pets at this stage of life that can be the most difficult, but also is often the most beautiful and meaningful.
Space is limited and registration in advance is suggested. You can reserve your spot by using the easy online form here, by emailing your contact info to info@hungermountain.coop, or by calling us at 802-262-3202.
