Snug Valley Farm, located in East Hardwick, provides the Co-op with grass-fed and pasture-raised beef and pork. This family-run farm is committed to humane and natural animal care, free of hormones and stimulants. Its Vermont location provides a humane and natural landscape for its livestock and emphasizes the environment and sustainability. Snug Valley Farm promotes land health with rotational grazing and composting manure. As of 2018, Snug Valley Farm produces its electrical needs entirely from wind and solar renewable energy.

After many years as dairy farmers and Holstein breeders, Snug Valley Farm began raising grass-fed beef in Vermont in 1989. Today, they raise Angus beef breeds selected with an eye for grass-based genetics to produce high-quality meat. They raise heritage breeds of pigs, such as Tamworth, Duroc, Berkshire, and Large Black crosses, on the farm without the use of antibiotics and with natural non-GMO feed.

Along with tending to livestock, Ben from Snug Valley Farm is a longtime pumpkin grower. They now harvest thousands of pumpkins in the fall, and going to the farm to pick out pumpkins has become a tradition for both locals and visitors.
