Bag That Bag

Bring your own bag and help your neighbors at the same time! For every reusable bag that you use, the Co-op donates five cents to the Montpelier Food Pantry. Since launching Bag That Bag in 2016, the Co-op has raised more than $65,000 and has replaced more than 1 million paper bags.

Community Sponsorship

During the year, the Co-op is a headlining sponsor for several exceptional events that have a direct impact on our community. These include The Taste of Montpelier, Brown Bag Lunch Series, Point to Point, and Fuel Your Neighbor.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors

Each winter, our co-op partners with Northfield Savings Bank to collect funds and food for our central Vermont neighbors in need. In its five-year history, this program has raised $76,183 and collected 4,794 pounds of food for the Vermont Foodbank.

Community Fund

Since its inception, the Co-op’s Community Fund has awarded over $101,500 through 89 community grants, including 8 grants totaling over $13,000 this year. These grants would not be possible without partners like Twin Pines Cooperative Community Fund, Vermont Sustainable Jobs Fund, and the generosity of the Co-op’s members.

Community Giving with Give Change Program

We believe that together with our community partners, we can deliver a positive impact for central Vermont and beyond. In 2025, Co-op customers raised over $20,000 by rounding up their change at the register.
