Volunteer opportunities with Central VT Habitat for Humanity

Central Vermont Habitat for Humanity’s vision is to create a world where everyone has a decent place to live. They build strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership for low-income Vermonters.

CVHFH homes are built with a focus on sustainability, using high-performance energy standards and incorporating community-based volunteer labor. This locally driven model reduces energy use, strengthens neighborhood connections, and promotes shared investment in the long-term health of central Vermont.

Volunteering Summary

  • Volunteers help with construction related activities on construction sites where CVHFH build homes.
  • Volunteers also help with assisting donors unload donations, merchandising, pricing, and working at the cash register at CVHFH's ReStore in Waterbury.
