Join us for our co-op’s 2023 Annual Meeting on Thursday, Nov. 9. This year, we’re offering a hybrid meeting format, allowing members to participate in person at the Vermont College of Fine Arts Alumnx Hall in Montpelier or via Zoom. Review the agenda to see the details of the event. 

Please note that space for our in-person event is limited, so we strongly encourage members to register promptly. In-person registration will close once we reach our maximum capacity due to fire code restrictions. Therefore, we may be unable to accommodate walk-ins on the evening of the event. We will communicate with the membership once this event reaches our in-person capacity.  

A separate registration is available for our Zoom participants. There is no limit to the number of members who can participate on this platform, serving as our overflow plan in case in-person registration reaches its limit. 

As we prepare for our co-op’s upcoming Annual Meeting, we are committed to ensuring that all participants feel safe, comfortable, and respected. To achieve this, we have hired a skilled external facilitator, created the Conduct Agreement, and chosen to use a local event security company as an added resource for de-escalation if needed. 

The primary objective of these extra measures is to provide a non-threatening environment for all members to express their thoughts and concerns. Our facilitator will be instrumental in diffusing any potentially tense situations and upholding a welcoming and peaceful atmosphere.  

Establishing a safe and respectful space is essential for fostering meaningful dialogue and preserving the cooperative spirit that Hunger Mountain Co-op embodies. Your safety and participation remain our top priorities, and we aim to offer a platform for all members to engage in a constructive and enjoyable gathering.

Council Elections 

We have seven candidates and four open seats in our 2024 Council Election. As per the Co-op’s bylaws, voting begins at the Annual Meeting. This year, polls will open at 5 pm on Thursday, Nov. 9, in-store and online, and run until 8 pm on Monday, Nov. 27.
