Every November and December, Hunger Mountain Co-op and Northfield Savings Bank team up to provide healthy meals for our neighbors in need by hosting a food and fund drive benefiting the Vermont Foodbank. Join us to help alleviate food insecurity and the effects of reduced SNAP benefits this season by providing healthy meals for our neighbors. You can support these efforts this holiday season by rounding up your purchase to the nearest dollar, donating at the register or dropping off unopened food in the boxes at our exit or any Northfield Savings Bank location.

How it works: Hunger Mountain Co-op and Northfield Savings Bank donated $2,500 each to the Vermont Foodbank. We are challenging our Co-op community to raise another $2,500 and collect 1,000 pounds of food by December 27.

If we can reach our community goal, Hunger Mountain Co-op, Northfield Savings Bank, Farrell Distributing, and Cabot Cooperative Creamery will each make a $2,500 matching donation, raising at least $17,500 to help feed our central Vermont neighbors in need. Every dollar donated helps provide over two meals to neighbors in Vermont experiencing hunger, so your generosity makes a real impact.

To help us reach our food donation goal, there are lots of two-for and three-for deals available now. Keep one, give one! Look for the green Co+op Deals tags around the store, and make your donation at our exit. Additionally, for every Field Day product sold from November 4 through 17, National Co-op Grocers will donate 5 cents to NATIFS, a nonprofit organization founded by Lakota Chef Sean Sherman, dedicated to revitalizing Indigenous food systems and promoting cultural preservation within Native American communities.
