GMT exists to promote and operate safe, convenient, accessible, innovative and sustainable public transportation services in the northwest and central Vermont region that reduce congestion and pollution, encourage transit-oriented development, and enhance the quality of life for all.
Volunteering Summary
GMT volunteer drivers use their own vehicle and provide rides for those that live in rural Vermont and do not have access to public transportation, so they are able to get to important medical appointments, access to food, school, or work.
You can set your own schedule and determine the range of transportation service you are able to provide. Drivers are offered reimbursement at the standard IRS mileage rate for each trip.
