Run for Your Co-op Council

Each year, Co-op member-owners run and elect for our governing council. The council represents member-owners in developing and maintaining the vision and long-term viability of our co-op, and there will be three open seats in the 2026 Council Election. This year’s Annual Meeting will be held in September when voting for the 2026 Co-op Council will commence.

Submission deadline: Tuesday, June 24, 2025.

Eligibility

  • All current Hunger Mountain Co-op Member-Owners are welcome to run for the Co-op Council.
  • Membership must remain current with equity payments for the length of term.
  • To be considered for this year’s election, members must provide signatures from at least nine member-owners in support of their candidacy. Signatures may also be emailed to us.
  • Fill out your contact information in the application below. The rest of the application is optional, and any information provided will be used to communicate your candidacy to members.
  • Application must be filled out by the deadline with all pertinent information you would like used to promote your candidacy and may not be added after the deadline of June 24.

It is recommended that candidates complete as many of the following educational items as possible. The number of items each candidate completes will be shared with voters. Candidates will have the opportunity to participate in a candidate forum before the election. Stay tuned for details.

    Upload a recent portrait photo of yourself for use in print, web communications and a 30-second video about your candidacy for use on web and social media platforms. Photos should be 300 dpi, at least 1000 wide by 1500 high pixels, in focus, do not wear sunglasses, and you should be the only one in the frame. Record a video on the device of your choice, indoors in a quiet and well-lit, decluttered room. Orient your recording device horizontally not vertically. Preferred video format: .MP4 (MPEG-4). You may also submit Supporting Candidacy Materials to [email protected].
