With three new members, the new Co-op Council met for the first time on December 12. One of the first orders of business was to elect officers. Eva Schectman and Jeff Roberts will continue to serve as officers, as vice-president and treasurer, respectively. New Council member Erich Zeichner was elected secretary. I was elected president.

At the end of the meeting, Jen Porrier announced that she was resigning as of the January Council meeting. (One additional member announced their resignation after the meeting but then retracted the resignation before it took effect.) There will be almost a full year left in her term, which expires at the conclusion of the elections that begin at the Annual Meeting, which will probably once more be held in November.

We thank Jen for her service, which included serving as vice president. The Council will be appointing someone to fill the soon-to-be-empty position, in time for the newly appointed Council member to join us at the Council’s regular February meeting.
