It is the harvest season, and our produce section is bursting with local products. We currently have products from 82 local vendors in Produce alone. Harvest season means it’s apple season. Champlain Orchards has started bringing in apples from their 2026 crop, Honey Crisp and Ginger Gold, just to name a few. Want to support the local economy? We make it easy for you! We work with 427 local vendors to carry a wide variety of products from maple syrup to hot sauce. Speaking of, have you tried Butterfly Bakery’s award-winning hot sauce? It is just one of the many delicious local products that we carry. If you are looking for some Vermont-themed gifts for visitors or otherwise, we’ve got you covered.  

September is a busy month for us; we are getting ready to offer multiple opportunities for Co-op engagement. We just held a Council Candidate Forum this week. It was a great opportunity to hear from our council candidates and learn more about their thoughts and goals for our co-op’s future. If you missed it, you can still watch it here. Thank you to ORCA for livestreaming and recording the event for us. September also marks the start of our Annual Meeting, which will be held on Thursday, Sept. 24. This will be the official kickoff of our strategic planning process. Registration is open here. Our Council President, Carl Etnier and I will also be holding the next Co-op Connects on Monday, September 14, from 10:30–11:30 am at the Co-op.
